Adelante Malbec

Winemaker Ray Kaufman left California years ago for his Argentinian wine odyssey, and his Malbec is full of lush dark fruit, but with an added complexity of spice and minerality.

Akashi Eigashima Shuzo Japanese Whisky (750 ml)

Akashi’s Blended Whiskey makes for an excellent introduction to the Japanese whisky category.

It's a lightly peated malt and grain blended whisky, crafted to be an approachable sipping whisky with a classic Japanese flavor profile. The blend of malt and grain whiskies are distilled from wheat, barley, and rye, and are aged in ex-bourbon, barley shochu, and sherry casks, as well as new oak barrels.

Akkeshi 'Keichitsu' season 'Life Awakens' Single Malt Japanese Whisky (700 ml)

  • Lightly peated single malt Japanese whisky distilled by Akkeshi Distillery in Akkeshi, Japan
  • 10th release from Akkeshi’s 24 Sekki series
  • Produced using sourced and locally grown Hokkaido barley, lightly peated
  • Water sourced from the Homakai River; filtered through a layer of peat
  • Double distilled in Forsythe copper pot stills
  • Aged in a combination of Hokkaido Mizunara oak, ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and ex-red wine barrels; non-age statement
  • Butterscotch candy, temple incense, matcha green tea, and white chocolate on the nose precede a palate of Mandarin orange, dark chocolate, and sea salt with a lengthy, honeyed finish
  • Non-chill filtered; 55% ABV

The 24 Japanese Sekki are days that divide the solar year into 24 equal micro seasons. Keichitsu, roughly translated to “life awakens,” starts in early March and is the season when the first new buds of spring begin to bloom. Evocative of the season’s first rays of soul-warming sunshine, this sprightly dram is as invigorating as those early spring days.

Akkeshi 'Taisetsu' season 'The Great Snowfall' Single Malt Japanese Whisky (700 ml)

Taisetsu - The Great Snowfall is the 9th release in the 24 Seki Series from Akkeshi. It reflects the time when the days are shortest and mountains are covered in snow and the animals are hibernating. This single malt from Hokkaido's Akkeshi distillery displays all the beauty of winter citrus while abalnacin gits light aromas with the richness of Darjeeling tea, honey cakes, and umami. Aged in Hokkaido Mizunara barrels, ex bourbn, sherry, and red wine barrels.

Amara Amaro D'Arancia Rossa Sicilian Liqueur

Amara is the feminine form of 'amaro,'

This amaro is made by an orange grower on the east coast of Sicily, just south of Catania, in sight of the enormous volcano that dominates this whole corner of the island, Mount Etna.

Sicilian blood oranges from the Tarocco variety are famous throughout Italy for juice (a glass of Tarocco juice in Sicily in season is a revelation), but this grower decided to also use the zest from his oranges as a raw material for an amaro.

Orange zest is the main flavor in Amara, but it is supported by a range of herbal and bitter notes, with a very attractive balance between orange and herbal flavors, and also between sweetness and bitterness (some amaro is so sweet as to be essentially herbal liqueur, this is more serious)

Amara works very well as a Spritz with soda water and a slice of lemon.

Amarena Fabbri Cherries (8 oz)

It is a cherry delicacy of sweet and tart balance that is not to be confused with your common cherry or even the maraschino. The Fabbri family classic 1915 "Original Wild Cherry in Syrup" always has been and still is produced in Bologna, Italy

Amaro Alta Verde (750 ml)

Rare among amari for its pale green color

Complex bitterness from assenzio, a variety of wormwood

Blend of alpine herbs, citrus and spice evoke a summer forest

Serve over ice, or with tonic/soda, and a big squeeze of lemon

Mix in cocktails with agave spirits

Amaro Angeleno (750 ml)

A complex mix of powerful citrus, soft herbal aromas, ripe fruit and bitter roots. No artificial color is added. Ingredients include exotic botanicals and Southern California oranges.
